Bob Lazar- The Truth in One Short Story

Bob Lazar- The Truth in One Short Story

Robert Lazar as painted by Doug Auld

Today’s story comes in light of the rumor that another government hearing is about to take place on UFOs, and that whistle-blowers from the crashed saucer programs will be given immunity to come forward and talk to congress.

Anybody who would look through my files on the paranormal after I have left the stage having played grant, would notice that I am a big fan of quotes. Nothing is more satisfying then reading someone who can condense a complex idea down to one or two sentences.

The latest one that I have put in my collection comes from the radio show Spaced Out Radio, run by my good friend Dave Scott. I have been on Dave’s show many times, and as a fellow Canadian we have worked on and discussed pushing the process of disclosure within the Canadian government. Dave runs his show every night and has had most of the big-name researchers from the fields of UFOs, Sasquatch, and other paranormal categories.

Dave Scott - Spaced Out Radio

On August 9,2022, Dave Scott had as his guest James Goodall who is considered the foremost authority public came first one advanced aviation and submarine. He has written 29 books and subjects like the Blackbird, SR71, F18 stealth, B2 bomber and hundreds of other advanced military assets.

Goodall is also famous for his interest in the subject of UFOs, and other leading edge military planes.

Goodall was friends with John Lear and had conversations with the controversial Bob Lazar, who claimed that he had worked at a facility known as S4, just South of area 51. The short period of time he was there he reported that he had worked on one of nine crashed flying saucers they were being held at the facility.

I wrote this in my book UFOs, area 51, and Government Informants. in the book my coauthor T Scott crane and I quoted Goodall in conversations that he had with Lockheed skunkworks head Ben Rich, and comments that Goodall had made about the veracity of John Lear.

A lot has been written about Lazar, but his story has not really changed since my coauthor, and I first wrote up his story in 1989. Today we would not change a single word of what we wrote over 30 years ago.

The 1989 Lazar Home

Goodall summed up one of the reasons that he believed that Lazar was the real deal. It was one of many things that he discussed on spaced out radio, but this one particular item stood out as the ultimate piece of evidence. It was one of these type of things where you get to stop after he says it and ask, “any questions?”

Here is the story that Goodall talked about where he checked Bob Lazar's W2 form with the Navy, to find out who had issued the W2. It involves what he was told by a two-star Admiral as he shredded the W2 in a shredder in his office.

I had uh was one particular day I had a lot of time left and to waste, so I went through the pentagon directory. I'm looking for the billing - the location that from which the United States navy that paid Bob Lazar, and issued a W-2.

So, I’m looking through there and I can't find anything so I think I went into naval investigative services, but I can't recall. All I remember it was in the outer ring. The door was open, so it wasn't a classified environment, and I went in there, I handed a young lieutenant jg behind the desk -I handed him Bob’s W-2. I said, “sir can you tell me where this navy location was where this navy operation is located?” He looked at the W-2 and he says, “excuse me for a minute.”

He got up and he walked into the two-star's office for about 45 seconds at the most. He came out and said, “the admiral will see you now.”

Now anybody has dealt with United States military or even any military knows no naval officer is willingly going to talk to an Air Force enlisted puke unless it was really really important. I didn't have an appointment with them. There's a lot of animosity between the Navy and the Air Force because the Navy has 240 some odd years of tradition, and we have what 70 years of tradition or 65 years of tradition.

So, this two-star is looking at me. I go in there, and I give him a real sharp salute. Normally you say, ‘at ease.’ This this admiral said, ‘parade rest,’ so I'm standing there rigid. He's looking at Bob's W-2.

He's looking straight at me, and he has it in his hand and he's holding it up. He said “sergeant, I don't know where you got this W-2, but if I ever see your face across the threshold of my office ever again, you'll be the most sorry son of a bitch and NCO in the United States military. Do you understand me sergeant?”

I said, “yes sir.”

He said, “you're dismissed.”

I gave him a sharp salute did an about face and left. He took bob's W-2 as he's as he's saying this, and he puts it into the shredder.

If bob was a fraud. If bob wasn't who he said he was I would not once seen the two-star, and I wouldn't have had been with the two-star when he had that reaction to Bob's W-2.

Some people have pointed out that Department of Department of Naval Intelligence listed on the W-2 does not exit. This is probably true. The question is what should have been listed as the employer of the darkest of black programs - "the flying saucer research facility at S-4?" Lazar basically only worked there a couple days in December 1988, thus the low $958.11 on the W-2.

The point of the Lazar story, if you have read my book account, is that Lazar only went to S-4 a couple of times. He did not work there. His job was to be shown what was there (and read 125 papers on the TS program the second day) and then relay what he had seen and read back to John Lear who would tell a disbelieving UFO community. The ultimate proof of this is that he was not even fired or arrested for taking Lear and Huff out to watch the saucer tests. He was invited back to work at the base and he decided not to go back.

Postscript

As a side note to this story, I can add that a new John Lear while the entire Lazar saga was playing out in 1989 after Bob Lazar went on KLAS-TV in Las Vegas. I actually talked to him the morning after he, Lazar, Lazar’s wife, and Huff had been stopped by the sheriff after leaving an area outside area 51, where they were also confronted and questioned by Area 51 security.

In the Goodall interview with Dave Scott, Goodall mentioned being shown element 115 by Bob Lazar. He was one of a number of witnesses who claimed they had actually seen the material.

I remember asking Bob about where the element 115 had gone. It appeared to me that there had been more than one piece or that the piece had been broken up. The one piece disappeared I believe the day after Bob Lazar appeared on KLAS- TV. the material was held in a metal container. It had been placed in one of the shots during the interview just to let authorities know that they had it. shortly after the interview the canister with the 115 was gone.

In one of the interviews that Lazar did he indirectly hinted that one of the pieces had been hidden somewhere. I asked Lear if he knew where that piece had been hidden. His reply was something to the effect that – yes. He knew where the piece had been hidden but that you and everybody else would not have access to it. As he spoke, I had visions in my head of Lear and Lazar sticking the 115 peace in a concrete footing of a new casino.

John Lear took a lot of Flack for some of the bizarre things that he stated. I interviewed him a number of times and actually visited him at his house. My impression was that he was totally honest in what he was saying and actually believed some of the bizarre things did he put out. The fact that he was totally honest in my opinion gave a lot of credibility to the Lazar story.

As I mentioned I was there as the Lazar story broke and I interviewed a lot of people about the story, as the story was breaking. I heard Lazar story 30 years ago and I heard John Lear's story 30 years ago, and neither has changed a single word.

My personal opinion was that Lazar was put on the base knowing that he would eventually be exposed and would not be around long. He would fulfill his mission to tell the story to John Lear who would tell the world and because of John Lear's stories, nobody would believe it.

The government misplayed their hand not realizing that Lear was friends with the people at KLAS-TV and that their top investigative reporter George Knapp we jump on the story. He would tell the world and a story would go viral.

That entire story, however, is a story for another day.
